Chap Mei's newest line for 2010 which includes a two headed dragon steed and a Cave Troll! The first pictures of this new line, that continues where Legend of Knights left off, showed up on Russian mail order site Saks.ru, and they only showed small catalogue shots. First up, several single carded figures! The knights are back, but more importantly, the good knights now have the support of King Leo, who debuted as a five inch knight in Quest for Dark Beasts but as of now is available as a 3 3/4 inch figure as well! Also of note is a new wizard figure who looks remarkably similar to Gandalf the White, and who appears to have a hand that shoots magical energies. I'm not sure if this is a light up feature or not. Then a mid size box including a Griffin, and a repaint or resculpt of Orcus the Wizard Count, the villain from Legend of Knights... One of the centerpieces of the line looks to be this huge electronic cyclops! Furthermore, a castle ruin diorama piece and a repaint of the Legend of Knights dragon: Another must-have centerpiece, an electronic two headed dragon steed for the evil knights to ride into battle! And finally, a repaint of the Legend of Knights castle, now in white. Interestingly, its banners feature the red dragon of the evil knights...

Great Britain's Early Learning Centre picked up the Cyclops from Medieval Kingdom for use with their Tower of Doom series. They're calling it a Cave Troll. Be that as it may, it got us some great new pics of this awesome new monster!! And a boxed specimen sold on Ebay. ELC has since sold out.

Some of the first picture of Medieval Knights have been spotted on the internet, courtesy of an Eastern European shopper who found them in stores. Credits to the original poster! Looks like these two have zero points of articulation. Great sculpts though, and very nice troop builder potential! Meanwhile, Orcus has had a level-up as he's now electronic with a light up head, a new hood, and an even more evil face! And, the Griffin. No hind leg movement but the wings have ball joints! Overall, I LOVE this creature!! And finally, a shot of the back of the box which reveals more cool stuff and the names of the characters and creatures. A big thanks again to the original poster for making these pics available!

This shot shows the repainted dragon close up. It's a repaint of the Legend of Knights line where it appeared in blue.

Now, this is where it gets weird... according to these pics, Chap Mei has ALSO decided to market Medieval Kingdom as... Legend of Knights. Which makes this new line an official third installment of Legend of Knights (if we presume Quest for Dark Beasts is the second). We do however get nice clear shots of the new knights. And another horse set, shown here.

Hmmm... I wonder if Kronox actually has a semi-transparent chest-plate on him, as the box art seems to imply? Can't really tell from the product shot. It would be cool if it opened up and you could stick a figure in there!

It would be cool if it opened up and you could stick a figure in there! That WOULD be cool, although I think the translucent chest piece is only there to accomodate a light-up feature. You know how Chap Mei is with light-up, they use it with everything!! ;D

Here's a fantastic new carded shot of the white wizard, which popped up online. Credit to the original poster, though I wish I had an idea where he got this! And while we're on the subject of wizards! As Chap Mei increases distribution for 2011, more pictures become available. One of which was of a set I hadn't seen before on the net, which was hiding.. a completely new figure!! Well, not as much new, but repainted, and a new character nonetheless. Here's the blue wizard, and like Orcus 2.0 he is enhanced with electronics, while the single carded version in white is not. Excellent that CM should do this with a complete repaint that can double as new character due to a nice repaint! This entices me even more to get these sets. Anyone from eastern europe around?? ;D

More new catalogue shots have surfaced on the 'net, of the spectacular white castle, including the surrounding walls of the fortress. This is a completely different configuration than the box posted above in this thread that contains only the front of the castle. Which means if you have a choice, it's best to go for the deluxe set and not the other, more simplified set. This is common practise by CM, although it's a shame the biggest sets always seem to have the poorest distribution! Instructions, which are basically the same as the castle which was available in the first Legend of Knights series. Nothing much has changed, except the colour and the additional walls. And lastly a fantastic shot of the castle boxed, with awesome colourful box art! No window box this time but fully enclosed! A first for a large set like this!
