The Giant Scorpion set plays off the 1950s monster movies, while nothing in this set is really new it does include some rare hard to find items. The figure is nothing special he was included in the Wild Quest and Dino Quest sets of the early 2000s. Included with him is a weapon tree that includes all the gear he needs to battle giant mutant scorpions. In addition their is a cactus that was included in the Wild West series by Chap Mei and the only series we got desert plants to display. Their is also a small radioactive sign that can be used in multiple functions not just mutated bugs. It is one of the main reasons I picked this set for the sign and cactus. Perhaps the reason to pick up the set are the two giant scorpions. While this set points out the fact that these are mutated radioactive scorpions there were giant scorpions roaming the earth 400-300 million years ago that grew 9 to 10 feet... The giant scorpions are the same repaints as the ones from the Desert Adventure Quest line and Pirates. They have movable pinchers and a ball socket tail. It was nice to include two scorpions so they can either fight each other or team up and attack the other monsters in the series.
