The Giant Squid set is one of the newest in a series of Monster Playsets by Animal Planet. The set includes a Hammerhead sub that can hold one to two figures. It has a really cool blinking light feature on the front of the craft when you press the button. Other features include adjustable pectoral fins with rotating fans and rear rotating fan. Their is a removable torpedo launcher on the underside of the vehicle that includes two torpedoes. My vehicle doesn't hold the launcher very well and it slides out very easy. The sub is ideal for 3 3/4" G.I. Joe and Adventure Team figures. Along with the sub the set includes two diver figures. Nothing we haven't seen before although the dive with the yellow vest may be a retool of older parts on a new torso. The divers include two fins, diving mask and spot light. There is also a Tiger shark and treasure chest included with this set. While referred to as a monster the Giant Squid is actually a living animal that can grow over 40 feet. This Squid is a new figure and is much larger then the older Deep Sea Exploration squid. The squid has light up eyes and beak and two movable grabbing tentacles.
