If you have found some horrible Chap Mei bootlegs, post some pictures here before you throw them away! ;D These three are fake Dragon Curse figures that I even mistook for the real thing. The ligth up feature works and aside from the weak plastic and poor paint, they are of acceptable quality for a bootleg.

Another Quest for Dark Beasts bootleg, look how it tries to melt while still in the package! ;D Brains...braaaiiins.... It's also quite hilarious how the package tries to convince blind people customers that there actually is a light up feature they can try. There isn't!

I received in the mail today from a member here at the forum a mock version of the Chap Mei vikings along with a large green serpent. I cannot find any markings or stamps about who makes this product. However they look almost identical to the Chap Mei versions. Viking Basically a no name, unless someone would like to come forward and identify the figure. As I mentioned above their are no distinguishing marks or stamps that indicate who made this figure but is most likely a boot leg. The paint apps are okay but not perfect. One thing I will say is this company painted the whole figure front and back. He has articulation in the waist, arms and neck. His left arm does have articulation in the shoulder joint so the figure can move his arm in and out. The figure came with a 3 prong trident staff which he holds very nicely in both hands. His red cape is also removable and his belt does hold a sword of some type. Serpent I have been meaning to get a version of the green viper for a while now. It is basically the same version of the brown viper from Wild Park Grizzly Attack play set I reviewed a while ago and the coral snake from the Adventure Heroes line. This boot leg version is pretty spot own compared to the other versions. Like the viking I have yet to find any markings or stamps of who made this figure. I am strongly against the purchase of boot leg toys but since Chap Mei never made any attempt to see the vikings at retail over here I'll just take, what I can get. Beggars can't always be choosers

I'm not a fan of bootlegs, but these caught my eye. If anything, I love the colour pallette on these guys. CM has made them available in several colours but nothing as garish as these.

Found those as well. Bought em more for the beastlings than for the knights, although I will say I'm kinda fond of the evil dragon knight. Also, Viking bootlegs in plastic boxes. Strangely enough, they take their names from norse mythology figures... King Harald is now Freyr, Oxhead Toki is now Thor (even though a variant of him has a trident rather than a mace), Monster Gunnar is now Fafnir and Longtooth Sigurd is now Fenrir. And then, Super Dragons, which steals mainly from Beast Raider. The Griffin doesn't appear to be from any Chap Mei line I'm aware of, the line features no dragons whatsoever and I've yet to see the knight and horse in stores... Disappointingly, the figures and the beasts are shrunk down from the Chap Mei originals, making them incompatible with actual Beast Raider toys. Thunderthor features Bladekiller's left arm, and Slime has been significantly retooled. No idea where the new weapons and the lion come from either, but they definitely look like Chap Mei offerings.

Sweet! I've seen those Super Dragons as well, but under a different name (something with Witchcraft) and different packaging. The packaging was in fact very well done for such horrid toys! I considered picking the steed up as well, simply because I saw the legs were definitely Beast Raiders but the torso and head were new sculpt. I must say I like your Lion Steed as well! I also found these viking bootlegs listed on Ebay. I can respect your bootlegs a little more than these, because at least yours are not trying to pawn themselves off as the originals! I love the mix 'n match randomness of the beastlings, though! ;D They're really just making it up as they go along!

Yeah, the Super Dragon steeds are decent, but sadly they're too small to work with actual Beast Raider figures. Which is a shame, because while I have all four "main" Beast Raider figures, I lack any steeds for them. I do wish I could get an identification on the "griffin". The construction is clearly not Chap Mei (too many ball-hinged joints) but I can't figure out what it is. And yeah, I've seen those Viking KOs searching for legit ones as well, the seller is asking for way too much. Especially since there's no novelty factor like using the names of gods and monsters of Norse mythology in there.
