Police Force is a somewhat older set that is still available today in some stores. The figures themselves are fantastic, they really set Chap Mei on the map for many collectors. Before we go into the old series though, I'd like to start things off for this thread by posting catalogue shots of the newest Police Force sets for 2010. They're back with all new sculpts! First, three single carded figures. There's a new bank robber included as well! The sculpts definitely seem to deviate somewhat from the work done with Police Force and Police vs Bad Guyz, but I'd have to see them in person to determine how good or bad they really are. I have to say I am excited to see those new accessory racks. Chap Mei's accessories have had plenty of scale issues in the past, but it looks like they're on the right track with these. Next, two obligatory small sets with a figure and some accessories or a small vehicle. Here's a medium size vehicle set. I'm still not sold on the design of that patrol car, myself... if anything, these look a little too clunky, as of they're designed with toddlers in mind. The squareness somewhat throws me. But perhaps all modern cars look somewhat like square Lego boxes nowadays? ;D Then there's this SWAT van, looks like a possible repaint but I'd have to do a closer inspection to be sure. There have been many SWAT vans like this one done over the years. I do like, however, the addition of that electronic communications center that's included! Very realistic look, and of course instantly playable. The Coast Guard gets some reinforcements with this new patrol boat! Now thos boat has seen action before, in the Police vs Bad Guys line there were a few ''coast guard' inspired sets that had this particular boat included. It's a very cool design though, and it doesn't hurt to see it back in new colours, at all! And like the Fire Squad sets, there's this set with the helicopter (in blue, not red) and also a repaint of Chuck, the wounded skater kid from Rescue Squad with what appears to be a new head.

Here are some more catalogue shots. It's mostly items we've already seen above, but in a different packaging configuration. This isn't a bad thing at all, this way parents on a budget are able to make easier choices. I really like the addition of that communications center that looks like it can be attached to the inside of the van. I don't think I've ever seen that sort of thing before! That addition alone can be reason to pick this set up, as G.I.Joe fans in particular will want to use this in their universe.

Is there any online store where I can find that great SWAT Van? I think Toys 'R Us has it directly, on Ebay. But I'm not sure what their shipping policy is...

Here is a very nice Deluxe set that I found recently and still in its original package, which is always pretty cool to see with older sets. From the second series of Police Force! This is, aside from the inevitable Soldier Force repaint, the only time Chap Mei has done an abseiling cable and cable tow backpack! I love these older sets for the dioramas that the back side of the packaging uses. I always loved it about packaging when I was a kid too - I was happy with the toys I got but I could spend hours staring at the rest of the line, and imagining stories in my head which I would act out when I had the entire line. I guess I still do that, which is probably why I made this forum! ;D These large flat boxes are great for a sweet diorama shot like this.

A store here in my town is about to receive some Chap Mei Police Force sets. Once they get them I'll have some pictures, let's hope they are from the new series pictured above. But for sure they are at least Police Force vs Bad Guyz from what I coud find out.
