I too want them to add to this line! Andromeda!(any female really) Calibos! Poseidon! I have not seen these at my local TRU yet but they do have the Elves/Orcs & L.A.S.E.R. stuff which I of course nabbed and will check back again soon to see if this line has showed up yet! Can't wait! GReat idea. I definitely want to see Hermes/Mercury as well. Sort of a speedster god, can't go wrong. It's also pretty wicked that Magic: The Gathering (another hobby of mine) is doing a greek/roman mythology set right now, too. I have three sets of the first L.A.S.E.R. four pack that came out. I totally mistook them for Chap Mei figures. I still don't know who actually made them but I really like the style. They're almost honorary Chap Mei figures. These are some of my own shots.

Great shots! Yeah I bought 1 of the 4 packs of the L.A.S.E.R. Arctic 4-pack and just assumed they were Chap Mei figures! I hope to do some artwork of both them and the Olympus figures by 2014 with some added additional characters of my own to round out some amazing sets!

Found all of the TLHOO merch today at my local TRU, it was great to finally find these guys, I love the sculpts (very Beast Raider looking to me) and designs! I bought the 4-Pack & Hydra (who is just terrific!) My only criticism would be that the figures legs don't move at all (I was kind of surprised as I guess I didn't look at the online pics close enough) but all in all a great new addition from Chap Mei with a subject matter I love. I will be going back to TRU for the War Ship soon!

That Chap Mei chooses to give their figures immovable legs is in itself not unique: in the Vikings: Legend of the Norse Warriors there was one figure that had leg articulation, out of six. This is none out of four, but even then it's pretty common with Chap Mei.
Be that as it may, this is an awesome line and congrats on finding them!!

To all whom contributed with pics and info in this thread, thanks! I hadn't gotten on the TRU website in a while and I'm blindsided by these popping up. And they just went to the top of my short want list of toys currently in stores. From my experience, it's been best to go with the website to acquire stuff like this rather than go to a TRU store. These have me pretty excited, which hasn't happened to me in a while as far as the hobby goes. And what gets me is they're so affordable compared to like product from other companies!

That's why I like Chap Mei too, I've always had a thing for non brand toys where you could use your imagination and just fill in your own stry. Chap Mei's lines do that all the time. Plus, for a budget store line, the quality is very, very good.

Your repaints are nice! I especially like the lion. If the Hercules movie with the Rock is a hit, would be cool if they released a set like your custom. I would like to see a robe or cowl made from the lion's pelt. Awesome job!

Wow! Uriah, your paint work is ace! Can I ask what paints you use on these figs?
As for your Hercules mod - Just amazing! Really well done!
I really want to grab one of those wolf-packs. I'm afraid they've disappeared everywhere in SD. Too bad. Maybe I can get my mid-west brother to help me out. ;-)

Amazing! I am more than impressed with your work. To be honest, this is exactly the sort of thing that I would have done if I had these sort of painting skills. A good frined of mine is a Warhammer painter, and I'm often jealous of how he can make those tiny miniatures (and not to mention the landscapes) look. I would definitely encourage you to post more of these beautiful shots.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've been customizing toys for a while and just started to dive into Chap Mei customs. The sculpts are so strong, they really just need paint most of the time. With this set, I tried to stay close to the original color schemes that CM intended - just tried to take them to the next level. Gigamach, I use water based acrylic paints (you can get it at craft stores like Joanne's, Hobby Lobby, Michaels) and then seal the figures or (sometimes just painted areas) with a dull coat lacquer to protect them (Testors dull coat spay is awesome). I scored my Ork/Wolf set at a TRU in Atlanta (Buckhead) while on business their last week. I haven't seen them in Austin in a while but will keep an eye out. Your best bet might be TRU Online. Seems the only way to get some items since the distribution is wonky on this stuff. Here is a link to some of my other work: www.figurerealm.com/viewcustomfigures.php?op=4&id=3228

Cool, man! Also, I might have a lead on a Bladekiller. I'll let you know for sure next week. One of my friends at work noticed mine and said he got the same one years ago. I asked him how much he wanted and he said if he could find them (Beast Raider stuff) he'd just bring 'em in. If Bladekiller is in there, I'll let you know.
Standard acrylics, huh? Cool beans. My wife has a ton. I'm gonna mess with them this weekend. I LOVE that Perseus and Medusa. Totally cool.

Really awesome, Uriah! I love the distorted limbs and that head is outstanding. I posted on the other link - I may have a Bladekiller for you. I'll know on Monday.
