about time I posted this one here. It's a shot of the huge set with the Beast Raider tower in it, which is a seldom seen set, even though the tower isn't all that impressive by itself, to see a set like this makes me drool! It reminds me of the fantastic 'The Other World' playsets that were available in the 80's.

Wow, that's awesome. Were the tower and the skull prison the only two playsets made?

I bought ANOTHER BR "Slime" off of ebay the other day, & this time he was a "single-pack" figure... on the back of the box they show "Bladekiller," "Slime," "Warr," & a mystery figure/character?!?! Who is this guy?? He's probably from another previous Chap Mei line but I have never seen him before, especially listed as a Beast Raider figure?? He has no name on the box (neither do the others)... thoughts? ideas?

^^^Ok... looking through this very board I see that this "Mystery Figure" is from the "Ninja: Hero Of The Dark" line & is a figure named "Black Scale." The things you learn here are just amazing!!

Indeed, that's because - for a brief stint - the Beast Raider figures were released in those perculiar boxed versions like the one you have there, and for some reason Black Scale was added to the line up. We know this, because aside from your terriffic cardback shot, we have this picture to prove it: It's a very weird overlap, to be sure. I'm still waiting for a Tusk in Beast Raider packaging. That would rock.

AWESOME!! Thanks for showing me that Ghouldrool!! Now I have to add him (somehow) to my BR collection (as well as to my art & bios), this would definitely help explain "Tusk's" mostly unknown BR ties, & I'm very excited to see that this "Black Scale" figure actually made it to the Beast Raiders packaging! Thanks for the history!!

Here's another one of the boxed versions of Bladekiller that was on Ebay. Probably still is! Posting it for future reference here =)

One can never have enough beauty shots to capture the feel of a line. Here's a nice shot of Thun.

Posted on Chap Mei Universe for posterity, from an auction on Ebay, this shot presents a collection of single carded Beast Raider figures, all still on the card! It's very cool to see the Dilophosaurus carded like this. Thanks to the original poster for the picture!

So, THIS is allegedly the series that Tusk was found in: a line called Extreme Soldiers. This is the first time I've ever come across any sort of MOC picture. They're thumbnails, but it's better than nothing. That's clearly Slime on the card art with a Soldier Force I character on the left. Looks like this line also featured regular Soldier Force figures. It's possible these were made to accompany the release of Joe Dante's Small Soldiers film. The theme sort of reminds me of it. I could be wrong, though!

It's good to have this mystery revealed about "Tusk!" Thanks! ;D I agree! It's about time. Although I have to wonder about vehicles for this line (which would be awesome) and I still haven't seen Tusk on a card YET... but here's hoping =)

A Beast Raider II line would have awesome potential, but I doubt that would ever happen. I have almost everything from this line except the top of the tower from the tower mega-set that was pictured somewhere in this thread and the tan colored item to Thunderthor's right in that same boxed set.
