This is another one of those early Chap Mei treasures one can still happen across. Cashing in on the very prominent POG craze in the later 90's, Chap Mei did a similar thing and included these skeleton figures.



These three are all there ever were of this line.





Here's a size comparrison with a regular 3 3/4 inch figure, Sandy Storm from the Adventure Heroes line. They're not exactly 3 3/4 inch so they're not much use to incorporate in any Chap Mei dioramas, but I still like these. They're more PVC like than anything else, but they make great statues or treasure items in a fantasy world.

They were packaged with POG knock-offs, you say?

I half-expected these fellas to have been made to cash in on the Skeleton Warriors cartoon that had come out a short time prior.

As luck would have it, some carded examples of Skull Fighters have surfaced. This time the figures came one on a card, packed with a mask, sword and differently coloured "crystals' to make the sowrd glow. Chap Mei has made some pretty random toys in their existence and not just the action figures they're known for. Still, it's always nice to see something in the original packaging. And since this fan site was made to acumulate knowledge, that's what we do ;D
